Service Animals Welcome at CampMd
CampMd welcomes all our guests, including those who rely on service animals. We understand the importance of assisting individuals with disabilities, and everyone enjoying their stay comfortably and safely. In order to properly prepare, our staff might ask whether your animal is a qualified service animal and what tasks it performs for you, as permitted by law.
Liability
As required by law, service animals are not charged extra, but are liable for injury and damage. Groups with service animals are solely responsible for keeping animals on a leash and preventing interaction with other individuals and animals. Groups with service animals are solely liable for costs and punitive damages from injury to anyone and damage to property.
Service Animal and Emotional Support Animal Differences
Service Animals:
- Individually trained to perform disability-related tasks for persons with disabilities.
- Recognized by state and federal (ADA) law.
- No additional charge, and they are allowed in areas where other animals may be restricted.
Emotional Support Animals:
- Not considered service animals under state and federal (ADA) law.
- Not individually trained to perform disability-related tasks for person with disabilities.
- Subject to our rules for pets, including fees, breed restrictions, and only allowed in houses, not tent sites.
